If you are reading this, then you must either be in London for vacation or are planning to do so. If so, you should make the most of the time you are here (or will be here) to visit as many places as you can. To make things easy for you, we have created a complete tour plan for one week.

However, first things first, you need to decide on your accommodation place before venturing out on your tour. We recommend booking any of the 3-star hotels in Paddington London

It is comfortable, and its prices are appropriate. Most of all, it is located in a place where you can not only easily access various public transport but also most of London’s iconic attractions.

Now, moving on to the main topic, let’s discuss your one-week tour plan!

Day 1

For the first day, you can check out the parks and Soho in London.

Parks

You have just arrived in London, so instead of going for some heavy-handed traveling, why not relax in a park with a book and your favorite eatables?

You can check out St. James’ Park in Westminster, Green Park in Westminster/Central London, Regent’s Park in Camden Town, Kensington Gardens in Kensington, or Hyde Park in Central London. The options are simply endless!

Soho

After you are done resting in one or several parks, you can then head out to Soho. There are bars, bookstores, various buildings, food, entertainment – you will have a lovely evening there.

You can visit Ceviche Soho on 17 Frith Street for Peruvian food. Flat Iron on 17 Beak Street is ideal for steak and salad. On the other hand, there is  La Bodega Negra on 16 Moor Street for Mexican food.

Day 2

On day 2, you can spend time in the British Museum and the National Gallery.

British Museum

Interested in historical goods? The British Museum is just the place you should visit. Located on Great Russel Street, this museum houses remarkable collections of art, culture, and history. We recommend booking tickets in advance to not miss out.

National Gallery

The National Gallery is another one of those iconic places we would recommend visiting. It has famous art pieces from renowned artists such as Sandro Botticelli, Johannes Vermeer, Michelangelo, and Rembrandt, etc. If you love art, you will not want to miss out!

Day 3

You can visit Buckingham Palace and the Churchill War Rooms on the third day.

Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace is the royal residence and also the administrative headquarters of the monarchy. The biggest highlight of Buckingham Palace is the changing of the guard event that happens every other day at 10:45 a.m. and lasts for 45 minutes.

It is a sight you do not wish to miss. However, you will have to check its website to find out which day it will be held.

Churchill War Rooms

Are you a fan of Winston Churchill – he was the Prime Minister of the UK from 1940-1945 and 1951-1955. If so, you will surely want to visit the Churchill War Rooms.

It includes two things; first is the government’s command center used during World War II. Secondly, there is a museum housing the life of Winston Churchill.

Day 4

Let’s check out the Brick Lane and Jack the Ripper Tour on day 4, shall we?

Brick Lane

If your stay days include weekends, you simply must pay a visit to Brick Lane. It is a hub of an assortment of food, including Jewish delis and Indian cuisine.

Jack the Ripper Tour

If you are a fan of detective stories, the Jack the Ripper Tour is for you! From 1888-1891, Jack the Ripper was a serial killer in London whose identity was never revealed. This tour will relay his frightening tale in a engaging manner.

Day 5

You should check out the Trafalgar Square and Tower of London on the 5th day.

Trafalgar Square

The Trafalgar Square houses notable monuments and fountains, including the Nelson’s Column and four bronze lion statues. The Nelson’s Column is simply a must-visit because it celebrates Admiral Nelson’s glorious victory at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.

Tower of London

In the Tower of London, you will find a number of renowned crown jewels, which are used as royal ceremonial objects, including coronation regalia. Another significant event is the Ceremony of the Keys, featuring the changing of the guards at 9:30 a.m. Interesting, isn’t it?

Day 6 and 7

On the 6th and 7th days, check out the Stonehenge and Bath.

Stonehenge

Stonehenge – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – is situated in Salisbury. It was built by people who did not leave behind any records of it, but its mysterious birth is precisely why it is so alluring.

Bath

Bath has great historical significance because the Romans dedicated it to the goddess of wisdom (Minerva) when they invaded Britain. They believed it had spiritual significance, and it is believed so till today. It is a remarkable place to have a bath and pray to Minerva for health.

Conclusion

Overall, this is a tour plan you can use to spend seven days in London. This tour plan ensures that you get to visit as many places as you can, especially those that hold historical significance.

Thus, be sure to check these places out! In addition, if you are worried about your place of stay, you can opt for Hotel Edward Paddington.
